Background About Us
We are a core group of families, older and younger, who have come together in order to be a part of a new church in Abilene, Texas, planted by the Presbyterian Church in America, through its North Texas Presbytery. The Presbytery has worked with the group for a period of 2 years, and hired a Planting Pastor, Robert Hasler, who will be in Abilene to begin meeting with the group in April, 2026.
The group came together in agreement that a PCA (lPresbyterian Church in America) was needed in the Abilene community, and that the Lord would work through this church plant to provide a unique community that would meet the description of the PCA:
FAITHFUL TO THE SCRIPTURES,
TRUE TO THE REFORMED FAITH,
AND OBEDIENT TO THE GREAT COMMISSION

Our Goals
We desire to plant a PCA Church in Abilene in order:
To establish biblical authority over all teaching and preaching, and our lives.
To commune in a multi-generational and diverse community of believers, and to be an inviting community to nonbelievers who come seeking answers to the great questions of life.
To establish a structure of the body allowing for transparency and accountability in leadership and the body.
To strive for weekly worship that honors all generations, which is inviting in its form to those young and old; and preserves the historical liturgy of the church.
Recognizing that humans are forgetful and are constantly bombarded by the culture around them, to gather with brothers and sisters each week to “rehearse the gospel” through song, liturgy, prayer, preaching, and Holy Communion.
To provide for deep study of the Word.
